Job title – Voluntary Legacy and in Memory Executive
This is an unpaid voluntary role working around eight hours a week.
We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual to join us as a Legacy and In Memory Executive. Your objective will be to take the lead on the development and delivery of the legacy marketing and IMO program and the generation of funds through gifts in wills.
You will be joining a small dynamic team with ambitions for growth. You will have the opportunity to make a considerable impact through the stewardship of existing supporters and acquiring new legacy pledgers. Your experience will have been gained through a similar role within a voluntary organisation.
To lead on the legacy marketing and In Mem programme, including direct mail, online media, events portfolio development etc.
To ensure suitable levels of supporter care, stewardship and ongoing communication are delivered once someone has enquired about, shown intention to, or pledged a legacy gift in their will.
Ensure accurate reporting of legacy information onto CIVICRM database
You will have a proactive approach to ensure that legacy income and the number of people pledging a legacy to charity increases. A background in a similar role is essential and you must have an organised and flexible attitude towards workload, and able to adopt a sensitive and considered approach to legacy stewardship.
At least three years experience of working in a voluntary organisation, or similar, preferably in the fundraising department. Proven experience of managing legacy and/or in mem campaigns across a range of media, including direct mail and online media.
Experience of working effectively with fundraising or marketing agencies. Ability to work with complex cohorts of data and segmentation to maximise campaign effectiveness.
Experience of communicating the importance of legacies to audiences. Ability to accurately monitor income and expenditure budgets.
